Hearing Impairment
Accessibility has been an integral part of the museum’s design, and the entire site is accessible.
The following facilities are available to visitors:
- A drop-off point in the immediate vicinity of the entrance hall (access via the turnaround loop from rue Paul Bert in Lens)
- 4 parking spaces reserved for the disabled on the museum site (turnaround loop at the drop-off point)
Hearing loop in all admission and ticketing areas, the library, and the Performing Arts Venue
- A video tour in French Sign Language in complete autonomy thanks to the free audioguide
The Louvre-Lens audio guide offers a tour of 23 works in the Galerie du Temps, produced entirely for the deaf and hearing-impaired. It’s free, works on smartphones and requires no download. It is currently only available in French.
- Guided tours of temporary exhibitions in French Sign Language
The Musée du Louvre-Lens is also accessible for people with multiple disabilities.
