The project proposed by the Sanaa agency for the former mine yard site is a museum in the form of a glass pavilion, where the public will be able to admire works of art from the Louvre. The 17,000 m² building, in the heart of a 20-hectare park, will be a hub of culture and life, and open to its environment.

The Louvre-Lens will make the Louvre's masterpieces accessible to everyone, with a program and preview events that focus on outreach and education. Help us build this new-style museum whose modern design will enable us to exhibit works of art in an original way, bringing them nearer to the public!

Tax benefits for donations to the Louvre-Lens

If you are subject to tax in France, the French philanthropy law of August 1, 2003 entitles you to the following tax deductions:

- for a donation: you can deduct 66 % of the value of your donation from your income tax, up to a limit of 20 % of your taxable income;

- for a bequest: you may decide to bequeath a sum of money to the Louvre-Lens. Your bequest will be free of transfer tax, i.e. the heirs will pay no tax on the sums bequeathed.
