Web site use
The Louvre-Lens Web site complies with the W3C web standards, the WAI accessibility guidelines, and the Accessiweb criteria. Rather than tailored to individual needs, the site is the same for everyone and caters as far as possible for all kinds of Internet users.
Browser compatibility
The site is compatible with Microsoft Explorer 5.5 and above, Firefox Mozilla 1 and above, Apple Safari 1.2, and Netscape 6.2 for PC and Mac.
If you have problems reading the site, you can:
- enlarge the text on the current page (hold down CTRL + press the middle button on the mouse), or select "increase font size" / "decrease font size" from the Functions menu;
- force the pages to display according to your personal style sheet.

The "Musée du Louvre-Lens" logo: click on the logo (in the top left corner of every page) to return to the homepage.
The four links in the horizontal navigation bar take you to different sections:
- "Why the Louvre-Lens": click on this link to access the introductory page of the section and open a menu with links to information about the project. The vertical navigation bar on the left details the contents of this section;
- "The Architectural Project": click on this link to access the introductory page of the section and open a menu with links to information about the architectural project. The vertical navigation bar on the left details the contents of this section;
- "The Cultural Project": click on this link to access the introductory page of the section and open a menu with links to information about the cultural project. The vertical navigation bar on the left details the contents of this section;
- "Lens and the Nord-Pas de Calais Region": click on this link to access the introductory page of the section and open a menu with links to further information about the city of Lens and the Nord-Pas de Calais region. The vertical navigation bar on the left details the contents of this section.
Further information and resources are available via the menu at the top of every page:
- "News": current information about the project;
- "FAQ": the most frequently asked questions about the project, and their answers;
- "Newsletter": subscribe to the Louvre-Lens electronic newsletter on this page;
- "Press": news of press events related to the project.

Search
To search the Louvre-Lens, enter your query in the field marked "Search" above the horizontal navigation bar (present on every page). It provides a simple key-word search with theme-based results meaning that the search engine matches the words of your query with those used to index each page of the site.
